Cards for Military

This is the most recent batch of cards made for Operation Write Home, which sends homemade cards overseas to the Military so they have something nice to send home. A couple of my friends and I got together recently and made some of the Valentine cards and the rest I made over the course of the past few months. It is so fun to do and such a great cause. Check out their website www.OperationWriteHome.org

Je t'aime (Card Patterns Weekly Sketch Challenge # 48)

Here's a card I made for the weekly challenge on http://www.cardpatterns.blogspot.com/

StampTV Challenge Cards

These cards were made for various challenges I participate in on StampTV. These challenges are fun to do and get me thinking outside the box of my usual color combinations and style. One Challenge was to make a card inspired by a beautiful photo of a forest in Autumn, which had so man lovely shades of red. "Time to Celebrate" is my interpretation of this photo. Another challenge was to create a card inspired by the colors of winter, whatever that means to you. I think of shades of white and light blue (colors of ice and snow) at this time of year, "Brrr..." is my take on that challenge. The last card is for a challenge using 4 inchies on a creation. An inchie is a small stamped image, 1" x 1" square. I had never done any inchies before and it turned out to be really fun. "I'm Nuts for You" is my inchie card, gotta love those new stamps from Hampton Art called Mini Flip Flops, too cute!

Amuse Pajama Party Challenges

I made these cards for Amuse Stamps January Virtual Pajama Party. There were four different challenges to complete in thirty minutes per challenge. For Challenge #1 we had to make a card to honor a celebrity crush we have or had. I don't really have a crush on any celebrity, but I do have one on my husband of 30 years! He loves coffee, especially Starbucks so the coffee card is for him. Challenge #2 asked us to make a card for a BFF. Well, I have some wonderful friends and many of them love to play tennis, so the tennis gal is for them, they are all my BFF's. The third challenge was actually the hardest. We had to make a card that was flat and had no paper layers on it. "Have a Magical Day" is my interpretation of that challenge. Finally, we had to make a card that only contained the colors red, white and black. I actually love this color combination so this one was easy for me. In addition, all the cards had to contain at least one Amuse Art stamp. Amuse has some of the cutest stamps out there!

Here's a card I made to enter in a Card Challenge contest on another blog. They provide a card sketch and you are free to interpret it in your own unique way. It is a great way to do something different and to see how others use the same sketch so diversly. Leave a comment if you like.
