World Card Making Day began in 2006 and is still going strong. Held on the first Saturday of October each year, it was started by Paper Crafts Magazine and has become a day for card makers to celebrate this hobby together, online and in person. I am getting ready to box up and send off another batch of cards to Operation Write Home, this time over 250 cards. I save the cards I make for various challenges and contests and add these to cards I make expressly for OWH and when I have enough, off they go. This wonderful organization sends cards to our military serving overseas so they have cards to send home.
